Braveheart is set in the rolling hills of the Scottish countryside in and around Loch Lomond, North West of Glasgow. 

Our base for the weekend is Loch Lomond Youth Hostel in Arden, one of the UK’s most impressive and grand youth hostels and capable of accommodating over 150 people.

All of the activities involved in Braveheart are set in and around the area and will benefit from fantastic views of hills and lochs. The exact locations for each activity will remain top secret and will only be revealed as and when teams are set their next challenge!

Accommodation

All participants will stay at Loch Lomond Youth Hostel. The youth hostel caters for over 150 people in dormitory-style rooms ranging in size from two to ten people. There are plenty of hot showers and toilets as well as rest and dining areas. The hostel also has internet access for a small charge.




Travel Information


The nearest airport is Glasgow International airport, approximately 30-40 minutes drive from Loch Lomond. Easyjet, British Midland and other popular airlines all fly in to Glasgow from across the UK.

The nearest train station to Loch Lomond is Balloch, just 10 minutes away. Virgin, Scotrail and Great North Western trains all service routes from various cities in the UK to Glasgow.

Transfers to/from the airport and train station will be provided at specific times only. Please check the transfer pick-up times before booking your flights or train journey.

The area is also easily accessible by car and by bus, although participants should note that parking is strictly limited.
