Trekking
in the Himalayan Peaks
An exciting flight to Lukla starts our journey into a region justifiably famous for its Sherpa villages and monasteries as well as being home to the world’s greatest mountain, Everest. After acclimatisation, we trek to the village of Namche Bazaar, the centre of Sherpa culture in Nepal.
Trekking onwards to Tengpoche Monastery the views are fantastic with Mount Everest looming in the near distance. Following the moraine of a huge creaking glacier at Lobuje, we reach Gorak Shep, the start of the world’s highest marathon, before reaching Kala Pathar at 5545m when Everest is in our sight. After capturing this special moment on film, we start our descent back down to Lukla to celebrate our achievements.
