Suited to those who would like a taste of dog sledding, this Arctic
experience provides a challenge like no other. You’ll be
surrounded by a frozen landscape 300 miles north of the Arctic
Circle with only the sound of the panting Alaskan huskies and
crunching of the snow under the sled’s runners for company. This
is a unique chance to be a member of a 10-strong team who will be
given expert training in dog sledding. You will be instructed on how
to handle your team of dogs and how to negotiate a sled through some
of the most exceptional terrain in the world.
Crossing this vast white wilderness at speed you stop occasionally to
catch your breath and take in your surroundings. Herds of wild
reindeer roam the Arctic tundra and in the evening you may catch
sight of the Northern Lights.
A Taste of the Arctic: Sweden Dog Sledding Weekends
As an alternative to the 7-day adventure in Norway and Sweden, we also offer
dog sledding weekends in Sweden. You will be instructed
on how to handle your team of dogs and how to negotiate a sled
across this awesome landscape. At the end of it all, you can sit back and relax in style in
the original Ice Hotel, and enjoy a warming vodka in an ice glass!
NEW! Due to demand, we have introduced a new dog sledding and
multi-activity itinerary in Canada. Offering a similar experience to
our Norway and Sweden trips, Canada is suited to people who would
like to experience dog sledding, snow mobiles or other winter
activities in a little more comfort. It also extends our dog
sledding season, being available from December through to March.
